Exhibition of Photobooks curated by Josée Schryer, Thomas Bouquin and Jean-François Hamelin - founders of the Photobook Club – Montréal

ÉVÈNEMENT PHOTOBOOK CLUB - MONTRÉAL VENDREDI 25 JANVIER 2019, 17 H

In parallel with Assemblages, we will also be presenting an exhibition of photobooks curated by Thomas Bouquin, Jean-François Hamelin and Josée Schryer in the espace américain. The curators and founders of the Photobook Club – Montréal plan to examine the idea of “free time” in three sections — exploration, escape, and free experimentation — via a selection of books made available to the public for consultation in the gallery. Photobook Club – Montréal is an initiative that endeavours to bring together artists and other people interested in photography with the goal of encouraging the appreciation and analysis of photobooks. Through sharing and presenting new books every month, the club aims to promote the photobook as art object.
