“I wanted to start a project that was close to home,” says Massachusetts-based photographer Tsar Fedorsky. “The idea originated from feelings I was having about my personal life. While I yearned to experience the broader world, I also recognized that I was quite comfortable at home. I decided to create a photo narrative about a woman who dreams of a larger life.”

Congratulations to Lucy Helton, Class of 2014

Congratulations go out to Lucy Helton, Class of 2014, her photobook Transmission made the shortlist for the Paris Photo - Aperture Foundation's First Photobook of the Year Award to be announced at Paris Photo in November 2015. All shortlisted titles will be featured in the forthcoming issue of The PhotoBook Review and exhibited at Paris Photo, November 12-15, 2015. The winners of each category will be announced at the fair on November 13, 2015.

I am thrilled to be showing Bombay Beach in its final form in a solo exhibition at Seattle's Glass Box Gallery. I have been documenting the Salton Sea with my 4x5 view camera for the past four years, and am excited to show the complete body of work on this one special night.
