West Hartford, CT - The International Low-Residency MFA in Photography at the Univeristy of Hartford, Hartford Art School is pleased to present its third MFA thesis show entitled:

2014 World Press JOOP SWART MASTERCLASS Participant - Bryan Schutmaat, Class of 2012

World Press Photo announced the 12 young photographers who have been selected for the 21st edition of the annual World Press Photo Joop Swart Masterclass. The announcement was made during the Awards Days. During the six-day masterclass, to be held from 2- 8 November 2014 in Amsterdam, the participating photographers will interact with six prominent experts, discussing technical and visual aspects of their work, as well as their role as a photographer.

Bryan Schutmaat, Class of 2012, will be showing 25 photos from Grays the Mountain Sends at Newspace Center for Photography in Portland, OR. Please join Bryan for the opening reception – Friday April 4th, 6 - 9 pm.

Las Vegas Camera Club opens storefront

Geoffrey Ellis (HAS/MFA Class of 2013) and Bryan McCormick of the Las Vegas Camera Club have been hosting analog-based photo events and classes, screening documentaries and selling Polaroid-friendly film and gadgetry—even building hacked-up cameras like the FrankenCam from the Polaroid Big Shot.
