Las Vegas Camera Club opens storefront

Geoffrey Ellis (HAS/MFA Class of 2013) and Bryan McCormick of the Las Vegas Camera Club have been hosting analog-based photo events and classes, screening documentaries and selling Polaroid-friendly film and gadgetry—even building hacked-up cameras like the FrankenCam from the Polaroid Big Shot.

To call them camera buffs would be an understatement. These are the guys behind the Vegas Vernacular project, which had photographers documenting Downtown signage before it disappears. Camera Club owner Ellis is a Vegas and San Francisco-based photographer. McCormick, who re-skins and repairs old Polaroids, has been omnipresent at Downtown events, shooting with his instant cameras.
