Daniel Reuter, Class of 2013, is a German photographer who moved to Iceland some time ago and started working on this project in 2012. The black and white images are the result of a daily encounter with the extreme landscape surrounding him that ends up absorbing and reflecting the emotions and the state of mind of the author.

History of the Visitwas released as a self-published photobook with a very limited run of 50 copies in the summer of 2013 in conjunction with his MFA Thesis Exhibition at the Joseloff Gallery of the Hartford Art School, University of Hartford. It was quickly sold out. Immediately afterwards, Peperoni Books released a larger number of copies of the same book. It’s one of Micamera’s favorite publications of 2013 and was in the final selection for the First Photobook of the Year / Paris Photo – Aperture Foundation Photobook Awards 2013.

Hannes Wanderer and Daniel Reuter will be attending the opening reception on Tuesday, April 15 and will be talking about their projects and about how they started working together.
